Legendary Singer, Angelique Kidjo Wins Best World Music Album Grammy Award Ahead Of Burna Boy

Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has been beaten by legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo as she snagged the World Music Album category award at the 62nd Grammy Award ceremony held last night.

The “Anybody” snagged his first-ever Grammy nomination with his fourth studio album “African Giant”. It was nominated for the World Music Album alongside Gece by Altin Gün, What Heat by Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley, Celia by Angelique Kidjo and Fanm D’Ayiti by Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet.

However, the Beninese singer emerged the winner category at the 2020 Grammy Awards which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday. This is Kidjo’s fourth win in the category and also her fourth Grammy win overall.
