“The Spirit Of ‘Olufela Anikulapo Kuti’ Isn’t Anywhere Near You” – Seun Kuti Dispute Kanye


American rapper, songwriter and producer, Kanye West arrived Uganda with his family this weekend, they are reportedly vacationing in a luxury safari lodge with a view of the River Nile in the northern part of the East African nation.

While the American rapper was catching the Africa atmosphere, he was spotted grooving and jamming hard to some Afrobeat songs (See post).

After the whole grooving, Kanye West took to his social media to make a video where he was feeling himself, declaring his music the best in the planet as he is the best recording artiste. He further stated that he is the best because the spirit of Fela and Marley lives in him.

Seun Kuti the youngest son of legendary afrobeat pioneer ‘Fela Kuti‘ and the man who also leads his father’s former band Egypt 80, has come out to dispute Kanye West speech that he doesn’t possess the spirit of Afrobeat Legend. In his words he states “Erm erm on behalf of the Kuti family , I want to state that the spirit of Olufela Anikulapo Kuti isn’t anywhere near Kanye West”.
